Saturday October 18, 2014 Willow Martial Arts hosted an in-house tournament for all Ozark AAU registered clubs. While turnout was lower than last year, everyone had a great time. Of course, the hit event as always was the high jump. We all know that Taekwondo is known for high kicks and what better or more fun way to practice those jumping techniques than the high-jump.
The other events included forms, weapons, breaking, point sparring and Olympic sparring. Congratulations to everyone who competed. If this was your first tournament, congratulations on getting that first one “under your belt”. It takes a lot of courage to get out on the competition floor, so whether you took 1st or 3rd place, you all are winners.
I want to thank all of the officials and scorekeepers who made the tournament a big success. I appreciate each and every one of you more than you will know. And a special thanks to my husband (he was the one selling equipment) who supports my passion for martial arts and is always there for me.
